Privacy policy
Last updated 7 November 2026
Your bills say a lot about you, so we treat them with care. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. We follow the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
- Your name, email address and mobile number.
- The bills you upload, photograph or email to us, and anything written on them.
- Notes and messages you send us.
- Payment records, such as what you bought and when. Stripe holds your card details, not us.
- Basic technical details, like your browser and pages visited, to keep the site working and secure.
We never ask for your provider passwords.
Why we collect it
- To review your bills and write your report.
- To run Bill Watch, if you've signed up.
- To take payment and keep records the law requires.
- To reply when you contact us.
We don't sell your information, and we don't share it with providers to earn commissions.
Software that helps us
With your consent, software helps read and compare your bills. A real person checks every report before you see it.
Who we share it with
Only with trusted services that help us run Agent Bill:
- Our hosting and database provider, which stores your account and bills.
- Stripe, for payments.
- Postmark, which receives bills you email to us.
- Email services we use to send you account messages.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram), to measure our ads and help show them to people more likely to find them useful. Our browser pixel records page views, successful signups and purchases. Our server also reports successful signups and confirmed payments, including the time, page, purchase amount and currency, browser details, IP address and permitted Meta cookies. Shared event references prevent the browser and server from counting the same action twice. We don't send Meta your bills, your name, email or account ID. We don't send these reports for visitors in Europe, the UK or Switzerland, when their region is unknown, or when they opt out. A browser ad blocker may not stop a server report. Use the control below to withdraw, or email team@agentbill.com.au. We honour Global Privacy Control and keep a dated record of advertising choices, the region and the privacy notice version, including earlier choices after withdrawal. We do not replay actions blocked when they happened. You can also manage ad settings in your Facebook account.
- PostHog, which shows us which pages people use and where they get stuck, so we can improve the site. It can record the pages you view, your browser details and when you create an account or pay. We don't send PostHog your bills, your name or your email address. We don't run it for visitors in Europe, the UK or Switzerland.
Some of these may store information outside Australia, including in the United States. We pick services with strong security. We'll also share information if the law requires it.
Advertising choices
Advertising measurement is optional. Stopping it does not affect your bill review. If you're logged in, your choice also stops pending server reports for your account. Your browser choice applies to other open Agent Bill tabs.
How we keep it safe
Your bills are stored in private storage that only you and our team can open. We keep a record whenever our team opens your files.
How long we keep it
We keep your bills while your account is active. You can delete your account and bills any time from the portal. We keep payment records as long as tax law requires.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information. Email us and we'll sort it out. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your privacy, tell us first. If we can't fix it, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
